The
Idaho Latino Scholarship Foundation is a sister organization to
the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce(IHCC) created for
the purpose of awarding
scholarships to Idaho Latino youth. The Idaho Latino Scholarship
Foundation has a mission to promote the educational, cultural,
and economic
status
of Idaho’s
Latino community.
The Idaho
Latino Scholarship Foundation
recognizes the importance of an education for the success and
economic well-being of our citizens, our state
and our country. In an ever-more competitive world, having a college
education is key to the success of our youth and the prosperity
of our state.
In
the upcoming school year of 2013-2014, the Idaho Latino Scholarship
Foundation, through fundraising
events, will continue to provide a full-tuition scholarship to
at least one Idaho student.
Our foundation
relies on individual and corporate (tax deductable) donations. Another
means to raise funds for scholarships is an annual golf
tournament, hosted by the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Another is our Gala Fundraiser:
